Andrea & John : Just Because Family Session

You know the feeling you get after being sick? That, ok-now-that-I'm-physically-better-how-do-I-get-back-into-the-swing-of-things feeling? Yeah. That's where I'm at. Photos are waiting to be edited, a refrigerator is dying to be filled, and laundry....you are my Everest.

I was slightly productive today - some photos were edited, hence, this blog post is being written. Tomorrow, I will face my giants.

Andrea e-mailed us about photographing her family after hearing about our work from her co-worker, Chad. Side note: I just love how that part of this business works; people talking to people talking to people. It makes me super happy. :)

Anyway, so Andrea and I set a date for a Just Because family session.

On the day of the shoot, we  met Andrea, her husband, John, and their two boys, Timothy and Jonathan, at Church Street Station (hello favorite shoot spot! :)). After the initial handshake, I immediately felt totally comfortable. There's something extremely disarming about Andrea, John, and the boys; they are warm and easygoing, and I vibe well with those personality types.

Following the very first click, Ben and I exchanged a silent high five - not only is this family good-natured, they're photogenic and relaxed in front of a camera as well. Score. :)

Andrea and John, we truly enjoyed every second we got to spend with your family. We appreciate people like you guys - photographing the love that you all have for one another is a reminder of why we love what we do. Thanks for making our job ridiculously easy. :)

Check out a few highlights from the day:

Ok, so this last one was literally one of the first photos we took. See what I mean about being relaxed in front of the lens?!
